In a recent YouTube video, Mark Carney had a confession to make: he will not meet Liberal emissions targets.

At least he was honest about that.

So, let's be honest about this: he pretends phasing out oil and gas was someone else's idea.

For a decade he was the worldwide CEO of the idea. He built his entire persona around Net Zero.

He claimed fossil-fuel-caused climate change was an "existential crisis", which in plain English means the world could end.

He was the UN's Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance where he recommended 65% of oil and gas should stay in the ground.

As Trudeau's Economic Advisor, he advised bigger and broader carbon taxes than even Trudeau had imposed.

He founded a banking alliance with the mandate to starve oil and gas of investment.

At Brookfield, his job was to use his political influence to get government handouts for his "green" investments (heat pumps, pricey "green" aviation fuel, etc.).

He made fortunes off an agenda that inflated costs and killed jobs for the working class around the world.

He didn't inherit this ideology. He built it. He milked it.

Now, he claims he changed his mind. Really? So, it’s no longer an existential crisis? Was he wrong for last decade?

If so, why go on hiking the industrial carbon tax by 500%?

Why has he not scrapped a single Trudeau-era anti-development law?

Why are 500 projects still waiting for federal approval?

Why has he not used his unprecedented powers in Bill C-5 to approve a single project?

Because it is all an illusion.

It was always about enriching the club. And it still is.

He will sound the alarm on new crises. The solution will be the same: heavy-handed, top-down crony capitalism—taxes, inflation, and debt for you, and handouts, bailouts, and carve-outs for the Liberal club. All to save us from the latest crisis.

The only way to change any of this is with a party that has been saying the same thing all along: get the government out of the way; free our businesses from all carbon taxes, red tape, and subsidies to unlock abundant, affordable energy. For Canada. For you.

People are astoundingly stupid. My comments about the departure tax is not that I should be treated differently from anyone else. I am making a point about the extent to which taxes are confiscatory. As I have previously explained, there was a time when ZERO cents of income tax were levied in Canada and the US. Then bit by bit, that "temporary" measure, to be applied to only a few, and at a very low percentage rate of your income, becomes a mammoth monster that takes more than 50% of your earnings. It can occur because there are no repercussions if governments do not balance their budgets (other than voting them out). Hence, what starts off as a small temporary tax on a few becomes an existential theft that is orders of magnitude larger than the so-called illegal extortion tax of the Mafia. It can exist only because the great majority of people BENEFIT from this form of parasitic taxation. But someone has to pay for everyone else, and when you are that someone, you are not necessarily pleased to be funding the ultimate Ponzi scheme. I'm making a moral, philosophical, and ethical argument. It's not just about me.

We are learning that the Liberal government, now holding the slimmest of majorities in the House of Commons, intends to assert control over all parliamentary committees—over votes, witness selection, points of order, agendas, and more.

Committee work is among the most important responsibilities of Parliamentarians, full stop. It is where legislation is thoroughly examined to ensure that decisions made by government serve the best interests of all Canadians.

While the Liberals are entitled to seek greater control, what I witnessed firsthand in Ottawa last week was troubling: a tone of arrogance, along with the mistreatment of some witnesses who expressed views not aligned with the party in power.

This is what is unfolding, and Canadians should be aware. Parliament will look very different over the next three years—even with only a razor-thin majority.

In the last election, 23,024 Canadians voted for Chris d'Entremont as a Conservative, yet he crossed the floor.

27,055 Canadians voted for Michael Ma as a Conservative, yet he crossed the floor.

30,343 Canadians voted for Matt Jeneroux as a Conservative, yet he crossed the floor.

2853 Canadians voted for Lori Idlout as a New Democrat, yet she crossed the floor.

8,113,484 Canadians voted for the Conservatives because they wanted change and they successfully denied the Liberals a majority government at the polls. Yet, because of these floor-crossers and Mark Carney's blatant disregard for the will of the voters, Canadians are now getting a majority they DIDN'T VOTE FOR.

Regardless of your political party and beliefs, this should be concerning to all.

The Liberal Chair of the Health Committee abruptly shut down today’s meeting, even though the University of Toronto was summoned to testify.

Conservatives exposed that the University of Toronto is making over $45 million a year training foreign doctors sponsored by authoritarian regimes.

These doctors leave Canada as soon as their training ends.

Meanwhile, Canadians who study medicine abroad are told there is “no training capacity” for them back home.

Why are the Liberals silencing us from asking questions?
