I only have one share but it didn't stop me from screaming (at home) for REPUTATION all the way to the wire. It's not about the money, I just love horse racing & being involved.
MyRacehorse is excellent. Constant updates on your horse, including videos.
When Secretariat died in 1989, the legend seemed complete, until the necropsy revealed the secret behind his impossible power.
Inside his chest was a heart that stunned veterinarians: an estimated 22 pounds, nearly two and a half times the size of a normal Thoroughbredโs.
It wasnโt diseased.
It wasnโt abnormal.
It was perfect.
Every chamber balanced, every wall strong, the anatomical masterpiece of natureโs own design.
That massive heart pumped oxygen-rich blood with unmatched efficiency, feeding muscles that never seemed to tire.
It was, quite literally, the tremendous machine that carried him beyond limits.
When he ran, his stride measured at nearly 25 feet, became an extension of that engine.
At full speed, his heart could circulate his entire blood volume twice in a single minute.
Itโs why he didnโt just win, he expanded, accelerating when others faltered, as if time itself bent to his rhythm.
But what makes the discovery so moving isnโt the science, itโs the poetry.
That colossal heart wasnโt just muscle.
It was metaphor.
It explained what fans had always felt watching him: that there was something greater inside him, something immeasurable.
As one vet whispered after the necropsy:
โWe finally know what powered him, but weโll never understand how much heart he truly had.โ
In life, Secretariatโs heart carried him 31 lengths past history.
In death, it reminded the world that greatness isnโt always about whatโs seen
but about the size of the heart that beats behind it.
@JoeTalamo My favorite memory - 1956 Kentucky Derby. I was 8 yrs old. NEEDLES had severe pneumonia at 5 weeks old, survived & then sold for 20 grand. Got his name because he got so many shots. He was classic underdog.
He won Kentucky Derby, Belmont & 2nd in Preakness. He became a superstar
@MyRacehorse@ColonialDowns What was really cool is that @andie_biancone gave REPUTATION a really positive review in the paddock before the race on @FanDuelTV I wish everybody could have seen it. It was that good. Got me pumped.
After winning an Allowance at Ellis Park last out, Reputation ran in the $100,000 Tyson Gilpin Stakes on Saturday at Colonial. She blew them away by nearly 7 lengths. MyRacehorse is so much fun. https://t.co/PolQ2fdR8r
@USASteeplechase NEEDLES - 1956 Kentucky Derby & Belmont winner,
2nd in Preakness. Named by a nurse because he got so many jabs as a baby when he was seriously ill. ๐
I was only 8 yrs old & watched the races with my Dad. So close to being a Triple Crown winner.
@FanDuel_Racing@mrdubbsie@jmpaquette Now that was impressive.. Glad the guys on FanDuelTV acknowledged your Pick after the race. You did sound a little excited when TRICOLOR crossed the finish line too.

Watch & listen as the last full truck of horses (on the right) heads out from the PA kill-pen facility, on their FREEDOM RIDE to the quarantine farm where a vet is awaiting their arrival. Never again will they be in the slaughter pipeline. Nothing but needed meds, friends, food & love await them. Forever safe!
The evil truck on the left is the EMPTY TRUCK that was parked at the facility over the past 3 days, waiting to transport these innocent horses to Canada to be brutally killed for their meat.
Butโฆ.
Many donors, along with OUR contributions, helped save the lives of every one of them! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING CCR!
Soon, Iโll show you the video of them happily jumping off the trailer at the QT farm.
