The Labour government has descended into chaos and infighting - with Shabana Mahmood’s junior minister openly defying her in a brazen attempt to get a place in Burnham’s cabinet
Not a single thought for the national interest https://t.co/pBF29e8K1O
EXCL: Some former Tory MPs applying to be candidates at the next election will be rejected by Kemi Badenoch as she seeks a major break from the party of the past.
More than 2,000 people have now put their names forward to stand as Conservatives, as the party prepares for the possibility of a snap election and how to handle Andy Burnham.
My column in The Spectator this week explores where the major right wing parties, including Reform, go next and their response to Burnham.
It isn’t even the most significant moment for agriculture since last week
It’s a vacuous pile of waffle
Completely empty of the commitment or the investment to get food security and climate change resilience OR deliver actual scaled up nature recovery
Road Map my arse…

The Labour Party is deeply misogynistic.
It is remarkable to watch Labour figures perform mental gymnastics to justify never having had a female leader and claiming it makes them MORE pro-women than a party that has had four female leaders.
In Sudan, the world’s worst humanitarian crisis is threatening to sink into even more harrowing depths.
The violence in El Obeid, the disregard for human life, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure and supply lines are beyond comprehension. Words alone from the UK or the United Nations Security Council will not stop the fighting.
The Government must turn words into action, make clear that attacks on life-saving British aid will have consequences, and bring forward new measures against the leaders, organisations and networks fuelling and funding the violence.
This week is Armed Forces week, a week where we pay tribute to the servicemen and women who make huge sacrifices to keep this Country, our way of life, safe and secure.
This is why we need to use wrist / teeth x-rays and other scientific techniques to determine age
Not all illegal immigrants lying about their age have TT accounts exposing them
They often get believed by credulous immigration judges - which is why it keeps happening
It’s interesting what the BBC thinks is important enough to cover and what it does not…
Just flicked through the website, nothing on conversion therapy, puberty blockers or the 60k+ migrants the Home Office has lost.
But Kemi not apologising for an accurate description of a terrible minister - not only merits a story but gets tweeted by BBC as well.
Odd priorities.
Scrap the licence fee.
Chasing away foreign investment & the top 1% of tax payers (who pay 30% in total) is the politics of envy, economic suicide & some would say economic illiteracy
Almost no other country taxes children’s education. Many have a tax rebate for those that spend their own money on education for their children.
The UK is now a global outlier.
VAT on private education hasn’t even increased the number of teachers as Phillipson promised.
Labour are taxing and banning our oil and gas industry into oblivion.
Will Andy Burnham continue this? The industry and workers need to know.
The @Conservatives are clear, we will get Britain drilling.
This despicable paedophile raped an autistic 12 yr old & groomed a 9 yr old
His dangerous attitudes were blamed on his Bangladeshi culture during the trial
This man must be deported back to Bangladesh after prison. We need to be a lot more selective about who is let into the UK
The Labour government trying to sneak out a massive expansion of asylum camps on a Friday (when parliament isn’t sitting) to avoid parliamentary scrutiny.
The @CommonsSpeaker was rightly furious.
