The AMA’s latest report card on ambulance ramping marks another year of failure for the Cook Labor Government’s handling of our health system.

Despite worsening ramping, Labor went to the election with no plan to deliver immediate relief for WA’s overcrowded hospitals.

Ambulance ramping figures from the first three months of this year point to a winter where all previous records are likely to be broken.

Appointing a Health Minister with no prior Ministerial experience is breath-taking hypocrisy from Labor.

Roger Cook campaigned on experience this election, yet his new Health Minister is still on their L plates.

WA’s health crisis is the worst in the country. It deserves a Minister with experience, strong leadership, and the authority to make tough decisions.

We’ll be watching closely - because if Labor’s track record is anything to go by, our health system is only going to sink deeper into crisis.

Roger admitted the other night that his priority is WA Labor—so is it any wonder our health system is in crisis?

2025 has had the worst start to a year on record for ambulance ramping, leading to tragic outcomes for WA patients.

Western Australians deserve a government that has a real plan to get ramping hours down and fix our health system.

If elected, the WA Liberals will:

✅ Expand St John Urgent Care Clinics to take pressure off emergency departments
✅ Fund 500 transitional beds for elderly or long term patients to free up hospital capacity
✅ Rebuild Royal Perth Hospital to modernise and expand services
✅ Expand the Joondalup Health Campus to cater to our growing northern suburbs
✅ Fund chemo@home and home care beds to reduce unnecessary hospital visits
✅ Invest $400 million in regional health infrastructure to support country WA
✅ Provide incentives to expand the number of GP’s working in WA
