📰A new Finnish study reports that youth gender transitions (under age 23) did not improve mental health symptoms. For some youth, medical gender reassignment may have had a negative impact. Link ⬇️ /1
Those needing radiation treatment for lung cancer in Mandurah and Rockingham can receive free care through private practices. But this is not an option for patients in the eastern and northern suburbs of Perth. https://t.co/E5HGpDGAYz
Record high FDV figures in WA show a deepening crisis & the Labor Govt’s lack of urgency. The Cook Govt have failed to make this issue a priority, introduce coercive control legislation after 4 years & failed to deliver effective GPS tracking as promised. https://t.co/f9zjgJP5Pk
Our overstretched health workers deserve better than this - another damning report pointing to a health system at breaking point under the Cook Labor government. About a third of junior doctors are experiencing bullying, harassment & discrimination and almost half witness it. https://t.co/BOih4WedsP
Despite 8 years and a conga line of Ministers the Cook Labor Govt are still unable to provide any real commitment to stem the dangerous ramping record or the shocking record of elective surgery wait times that have happened under their watch. https://t.co/rbesG847UL
The AMA’s latest report card on ambulance ramping marks another year of failure for the Cook Labor Government’s handling of our health system.
Despite worsening ramping, Labor went to the election with no plan to deliver immediate relief for WA’s overcrowded hospitals.
Ambulance ramping figures from the first three months of this year point to a winter where all previous records are likely to be broken.
Ambulance ramping in WA has more than doubled in the past five years, with paramedics forced to spend longer waiting outside hospitals with their patients.

Failed at the first hurdle.
The Health Minister is barely a week into the role and is already refusing to take responsibility.
Despite clocking up yet another record, with the worst start to a year of ramping, including 5000 hours of ramping in March - it’s clear no one in the Cook Govt is taking responsibility for fixing the health crisis.

Appointing a Health Minister with no prior Ministerial experience is breath-taking hypocrisy from Labor.
Roger Cook campaigned on experience this election, yet his new Health Minister is still on their L plates.
WA’s health crisis is the worst in the country. It deserves a Minister with experience, strong leadership, and the authority to make tough decisions.
We’ll be watching closely - because if Labor’s track record is anything to go by, our health system is only going to sink deeper into crisis.
Tomorrow, you can vote for the change WA desperately needs.
The choice couldn’t be clearer:
A strong, experienced Liberal team with a real plan to tackle the issues that matter most to Western Australians.
Or four more years of Labor’s failures, mismanagement, and broken promises.
Vote Liberal for a fresh start and a better WA.
Labor is taking Western Australians for granted.
If Labor win on Saturday, nothing will change.
After 8 years, Labor haven’t delivered for you. Families are struggling under cost-of-living pressures, our health system is broken, homes are unaffordable and hard to find, and crime is out of control.
Your vote is powerful – and on Saturday you can use it to make a real difference and fix WA.
The WA Liberals have a fresh new team who’ve had real jobs.
We have the energy and experience to get things done.
Don’t reward a complacent Labor Government that is taking you for granted.
On Saturday, use your vote to send Labor a message – and give WA a government that will focus on the right priorities.
WA faces a clear choice this election: another four years of Labor’s failure or a real plan to secure WA’s future.
After eight years of record revenue, Labor has left families struggling with soaring costs, a housing crisis, a broken health system, and rising crime.
Instead of fixing these issues, they’ve handed out free zoo tickets while 85,000 WA children live below the poverty line.
The WA Liberals will deliver real solutions;
✅ We’ll provide $1 billion in cost-of-living relief, cut power bills, increase support for seniors, and back small businesses.
✅ We’ll invest in health by rebuilding Royal Perth Hospital, expanding regional healthcare, and reducing surgery wait times.
✅ We’ll unlock 90,000 new homes and tackle homelessness.
✅ Strengthen frontline policing to keep our communities safe.
Only the WA Liberals have the right priorities to ensure every West Australian shares in the benefits of our strong economy.
Roger Cook has been Premier or in the Health portfolio for over 15 years.
Roger admitted the other night that his priority is WA Labor—so is it any wonder our health system is in crisis?
2025 has had the worst start to a year on record for ambulance ramping, leading to tragic outcomes for WA patients.
Western Australians deserve a government that has a real plan to get ramping hours down and fix our health system.
If elected, the WA Liberals will:
✅ Expand St John Urgent Care Clinics to take pressure off emergency departments
✅ Fund 500 transitional beds for elderly or long term patients to free up hospital capacity
✅ Rebuild Royal Perth Hospital to modernise and expand services
✅ Expand the Joondalup Health Campus to cater to our growing northern suburbs
✅ Fund chemo@home and home care beds to reduce unnecessary hospital visits
✅ Invest $400 million in regional health infrastructure to support country WA
✅ Provide incentives to expand the number of GP’s working in WA
✅ $20,000 for new nurses to build a health workforce for the future.
These aren’t just band-aid solutions - they are real investments that expand our health system and get ambulances back on the road faster.
WA Labor has had 8 years to fix this crisis and failed.
Only the WA Liberals have a real plan to cut ramping, ease pressure on our hospitals, and deliver the health system Western Australians deserve.
WA is my home – a place of opportunity. But under Labor, life is becoming less affordable, our hospitals are in crisis, and crime is on the rise.
We need strong leadership to cut red tape, support small businesses, and drive economic growth.
A government I lead will deliver real solutions and a better future for all West Australians.
We can’t afford four more years of the same failures.
The WA Liberals will build a better future with the right priorities for all Western Australians.

Labor's interpretation and application of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act should concern all WA landowners.
This week’s prosecution of farmer Tony Maddox—for simply repairing his driveway—highlights how landowners across WA could face legal action under Labor’s activist approach to the outdated 1972 Aboriginal Heritage Act.
Labor’s ideological attack on private property rights is far from over.
A Mettam Liberal Government will stand up for landowners and restore fairness and certainty.

WA Labor's reckless financial management has led to the fastest spending growth of any state government in the past 15 years outside of COVID.
And it's Western Australians who are footing the bill.
While rents, home ownership costs, groceries, and other daily necessities continue to rise, WA Labor is busy making uncosted election promises, adding billions to the state’s debt with no clear plan to pay for it.
Instead of addressing the real cost-of-living pressures faced by WA families, they are prioritising pet projects and secret deals, leaving taxpayers to pick up the tab.
