100 Black men of Baton Rouge inducted 2 white elected officials this year, one is up for reelection against a Black man. Does that make them 98 Black men this year?

I have a simple question for the community.

Is it appropriate for a Black organization to admit a sitting white district attorney in the same year he’s being challenged by a Black member of that organization?

If the DA has served 18 years without joining, why now did he join now?

Does the timing matter?

When we ask ourselves why it’s so hard for Black people to win parish-wide and statewide elections in Louisiana, I simply challenge you to look at the actions taking place in front of you today.

We’ve lost too much as a people in the last few years for me not to get the business clear early.

Some of us really believe in us.
