In the '70s, A&M had an outstanding journalism department with stellar professors. We had an excellent student newspaper that fought hard against administrative interference. I am proud of my involvement and the current community with a spine.

As a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M University, with a degree in Journalism, I am horrified and pleased with the current implosion. Almost 50 years of efforts to destroy the free and open exchange of ideas is coming to an end.
