I got to listen to @gcouros many years ago in Mesquite ISD and was blessed by him again today in @SunnyvaleISD. His ideas are funny, engaging, meaningful and relevant. What a great start to the 22-23 school year! I love my job and I know that what I do matters.
I love getting great ideas from great coworkers! This week the kids are earning confetti π₯s with a letter, number, or sight word on each π₯. They have to give a word, sentence, or a >\< number to earn 1. Thurs. we will go outside to make a big confetti mess! @SunnyvaleES
Thereβs a reason I have had this sign in every classroom I have ever taught inβ¦. We have FUN while we are learning and that often means noise and mess, but thereβs no better sound than the excited giggles of growing brains! #mywhy@SunnyvaleES
You know you work in the best district around when the superintendent is in the parking lot scraping ice off of teachersβ windshields. ππππ @SunnyvaleISD
In 2019 I started teaching in Sunnyvale and had a sweet girl in my class who did not speak any English! Even with the pandemic starting her kindergarten year and making school SO hard these last 2 years, look how much she has grown! These kids and these notes are my why. ππππ
