@Wolfofsteele I think i will do a trigger warning in my books. Something like, "Some things in this book may or may not be appropiate for some audiences(Young, old, neither, etc). Some things in this book may trigger those who are triggered by such things. Some things in this book may not."

@ManaTJohnson Yeah, but reddit is full of trolls and bots. It is all just echo chamber within echochambers. Just because someone is bad at internetting, does not mean they can't research.
There have been many times that answers i found on reddit turned out to be lies or propaganda.

@jerzy_jones @vickyweberbooks They use the comp titles success to help make that guess. I keep saying "guess", because that is all it is. They cant gurantee a book will be successful or not.

@jerzy_jones @vickyweberbooks A profit and loss analysis. The publisher's marketing whatevers will go through and guess on how much Profit and how much Loss the submitted book will have. Then based on that guessing, they will decide if the book is worth the investment.

@BookSpotlight If I knew who MZB is, i would feel like(based on ypur reaction), I would have a similar reaction to that author. Why does the writing community love being so vague? I have missed out on a bunch of stuff, because everyone assumes everyone knows.

@szestavillo Also,I would hope this goes without saying,I am talking about leaving reviews for genres you typically like. If you hate fantasy,then read a fantasy book, dont leave a review talking about how dumb the magic system is or how unrealistic the world setting is. Etc in Other genres.

@szestavillo I think you shouldnt be too harsh, but also not leaving a negative review for a book you didnt like is cruel to other readers, and even the author. If only good reviews, then other readers buy a book they dont like, and the author never realizes their book is subpar.

@AlyssaMatesic But that mind set applies to almost everything? Why cook when fast food is there? Why draw? Why play basketball? Why crochet? Why do anything? There is always an easier way to get the final product.

The answer to all the whys, is because you want to, because you enjoy it.
