The MAGA GOP doesn’t want things to stay as they have always been. They want to turn the clock back to a less enlightened time.

At first, I thought it was the 1950s. But their opposition to women’s rights puts it in the early 1900s, before women had the right to vote.

But their opposition to equality for African Americans puts it in the 1850s, before the Civil War.

And their opposition to democracy puts them in 1775, before the American Revolution.

But their opposition to vaccines and science in general suggests strongly that the MAGA GOP yearns for the ignorance and pestilence of the Dark Ages.
