Meet Virgil 💙
He helped change how Oklahomans say “yes” to organ, eye and tissue donation on their driver’s license.
Now, he’s waiting for a lifesaving heart transplant.
You never know when donation may impact you or someone you love. One decision can mean everything.
Selena spent a decade caring for her brother. When the hardest moment came, the LifeShare Oklahoma team walked beside her as she made the brave decision to honor Jacob’s legacy through donation. Because of that choice, Jacob saved four lives through the gift of organ donation.
When Meredith’s kidney function dropped to just 9%, she needed a transplant to survive. Thanks to a generous donor, she received the life-saving kidney she was waiting for. This National Kidney Month, register as an organ, eye and tissue donor — you could save a life. 💚

Rod, of Oklahoma City, first met his wife in
1991 during their freshman year at OSU. 16 years after
they graduated, they reconnected and instantly fell in
love. He is remembered as a generous husband and
father.
Even in good health, Rod and his wife had
conversations about their end of life plans. Rod passed
away unexpectedly and there was no time to have the
conversation again. She knew he would want to help
others even in death.
