Former Indian cricket captain @ImRo45 has joined Bengaluru-based game-tech studio @Lightfurygames as an investor. He will also feature as an officially licensed playable character in its upcoming cricket title eCricket.

Sharma joins @msdhoni, @Jaspritbumrah93, @hardikpandya7, @ShreyasIyer15 and Ravindra Jadeja, among others, as investors and playable characters in the game.

The title has already crossed 3 lakh sign-ups and is set for a phased closed beta rollout in September 2026. LightFury Games has secured licences for 600+ professional cricketers globally and has raised around $20 million to date.

Founded in 2024, the Bengaluru-based studio aims to build a real-time multiplayer cricket experience from India for a global audience.
