The first thing Thomas Tuchel did after walking into the England dressing room at half-time was to sit down. His team had just conceded with the last kick of the first half, a second sloppy, preventable goal, and he knew the players would be on edge. He knew that what they needed first was a quiet moment to catch their breath.
Then Tuchel explained to the team that his perception of them and their work would not change if England lost their opening game to Croatia. And if they lost here in Dallas, so what, they would still have two games left to put it right. The only thing that mattered was to play in their way, the way they had been working on ever since Tuchel took over.
Brave, courageous, aggressive and proactive. To show the world who they are and what they can be.
@JackPittBrooke on one of the more decisive half-time interventions in English World Cup history.

TRUMP: You know what the Iranians did? They laughed at Obama and they said he's a stupid son of a bitch.
Sorry, Donald. Iran is laughing at YOU, as is the rest of the world.
Who agrees?
Fair play to the management of Thomas Tuchel. Death or glory high line attack approach. So different to previous England teams. Swashbuckling at times.

@centregoals If we lose, we lose our way.’ That's the mentality of champions. No fear, no panic just go out and play. England came out flying in the second half and Croatia couldn't live with them. 🏴🔥
I was involved in Iran issues in the first Trump administration.
The Trump “deal” could be the most humiliating in U.S. diplomatic history.
Hundred of billions in exchange for a “promise” we already had. Pathetic.
🚨📲 NEW: The Algerian defender, Assa Mandi, has taken to Instagram to complain about the refs' decision in the match against Argentina.
"If I’d fractured my ankle last night, the guy who did it would’ve walked away with no card. Refs need to do better. The whole world is watching."
