My impressions of the Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo:
• Combat feels weighty and grounded
• Animations are fluid, detailed, and very impressive!
• Biggest feedback is I really hope Capcom includes a harder difficulty at launch. Let us use it from the start!
• Parry windows are fairly generous once you learn the timing
• Precision swordplay is rewarded, this is not a game about spamming attacks
• Absorbing souls is a unique mechanic that can refill your health, special Oni ability meter, and earn currency
• Boss fight was the highlight, hitting those parries is extremely satisfying and it was the first real test of your abilities
• Demo was mostly linear with some light exploration
• You can interact with objects in the world and use them as cover or deal damage to enemies
Overall I enjoyed the demo but with some tweaks I think it could be even better! I'm glad Capcom let us try it out this early and I sincerely hope they'll take community feedback into consideration before the September 25th launch.

One Bloodborne player is stepping away after 11 years helping people defeat Orphan of Kos, one of the hardest bosses ever made by FromSoftware.
Known online as Noahman90, he spent around 3,500 hours helping players through co-op and estimates he aided 5,000 to 6,000 people in winning the fight.
After more than a decade, he is stopping because “nobody plays Bloodborne anymore.” Summon requests have also become very rare compared to the game’s peak years.
Orphan of Kos has a reputation as one of the most difficult bosses in gaming,
Lords of the Fallen II – Important Publishing Update!
Independent developer CI Games today announced that it has signed a separation agreement with Epic Games Publishing. As a result, CI Games has regained full open distribution rights for the PC version of Lords of the Fallen II, moving away from the previous PC-exclusive publishing arrangement signed in June 2024.
Lords of the Fallen II remains scheduled to launch later this year on PC via Epic Games Store and other PC storefronts, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. CI Games will self-publish the title across all platforms, while PLAION continues as the global physical distribution partner.
CI Games will continue to utilise Epic’s technologies, including Unreal Engine 5 and Epic Online Services (EOS), powering cross-platform play, matchmaking, friends list, and seamless shared-progression co-op.
Like many in the industry, CI Games faced challenging market conditions in 2023 and 2024, and Epic Games provided significant funding and strategic support that helped ensure Lords of the Fallen II could fully realise its ambitions. This partnership enabled CI Games to meaningfully expand upon community feedback from the original Lords of the Fallen, while substantially advancing the sequel across gameplay, technical performance, world design, and online functionality.
“Epic was there for CI Games exactly when we needed them most. Their support and belief in the project made a real difference, and for that we are truly grateful,” said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games.
“Epic has been an outstanding supporter of Lords of the Fallen II. With Unreal Engine, EOS and the rest of Epic’s world-class technologies, we’re going to ship a performant game in a massive world that players can explore together across PC and console,” added Tymiński.
With the new agreement now in place, Lords of the Fallen II will launch with open PC distribution on day one, including the Epic Games Store.
CI Games has ended its publishing deal with Epic Games for Lords of the Fallen 2. The Polish company announced the news today in an official report.
The old deal gave Epic exclusive rights to sell the game on PC forever, but now CI Games will publish the PC version itself. The game is no longer locked to the Epic Games Store and is expected to launch on Steam as well.
This is very good news for PC players, especially after the first Lords of the Fallen did well on Steam in 2023.
Stellar Blade 2 (SHIFT UP) has announced news. The devs confirmed that Sony will not be publishing the new sequel game. They are going full self-publishing mode to handle everything themselves, just like the NIKKE game, from marketing to getting it in front of fans their way.
This is a really good move, so it could finally support multi-platform launch, which is better than just PlayStation Exclusive only. Development is still on track and sounding solid, so the follow-up to that wild action game is looking real!
Intel's Core i9-14900KF has set a new all-time CPU frequency world record at 9.206 GHz.
The record was achieved by Chinese extreme overclocker wytiwx and validated on HWBOT.
The run used liquid helium cooling on an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard, with only the performance cores active during the single-core validation in CPU-Z.
This breaks the previous record of approximately 9.13 GHz on the same processor family and marks the first time any CPU has officially crossed the 9.2 GHz mark.
For context, the chip’s stock maximum turbo frequency is around 6 GHz.

CONTROL Resonant has an anti-gravity mechanic that lets you walk on walls and ceilings.
Very cool feature that sets the gameplay apart and really opens up the possibilities in terms of exploration, level design, and traversal.
