On the etiquette of drinking water

He ﷺ would not breathe into the glass he was drinking from. He ﷺ would drink in three sips - elegant sips with the tip of the lips. He ﷺ would not make noise while drinking and would drink in such a way that allows a person to allow the body to get used to the temperature of the drink. The Sunnah in drinking water is to take a small sip, pause, then another sip, pause and then a longer sip - this allows the stomach and liver to adjust to the water coming. For example, if it is cold or if it is hot so as to not shock the body by gulping down lots in one go. This is healthy for the liver.
