Well heck, we did it! 28 years since it was last on the road, we finally have a fresh new WOF and the rego taken off hold. Just in time to enjoy some summer cruising. #morris#leyland#marina#marinacoupe#coupe#british
@000_three Sorry but you'll need to pry this one from my cold dead hands ๐ it's a keeper. Even if I get bored, it'll go into storage before I sell it. I may know of a Twin Carb coupe coming up for sale though.
@000_three They also came in a rare panoramic hard top where the whole top is basically tinted glass. What's wild to me is that these also have a soft top under the hard top. I'd love to own an SL500
@000_three The term "worth" is doing a lot of work here. 90s "hero" cars have been a long way from what they're worth for a long time ๐ anyone paying 40-50k for a chaser is an idiot.
Please have patience and give space to learners. We were all there once. I often see people tailgating and driving aggressively around Learners, it's just not on. Don't be a dick.
To the cvnt in an Audi A5 who aggressively hit his horn then overtook a row of cars as a clearly L-plated learner (my son) was trying to execute a tricky right turn hillstart onto the A26 this afternoon - I hope your turkey teeth fall out before youโve finished paying for them ๐ก
@M0JEC@joncoupland It's out of control now, but the R50 was actually a fairly small car for it's time. Smaller than a similar age Suzuki Swift, and that's classified as a "supermini" Segment car ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@M0JEC@joncoupland I'm only commenting on the R50/53 and they're significantly smaller than an RX300. The later ones are a joke. In saying that, the age old "but it's bigger than the old ones!" Argument is BS and just rose tinted glasses thinking the old ones were better than they are.
@joncoupland A very unpopular opinion, but anything with more than say... 300hp, that is only driven on the street. That's stupid power to be driven on public roads and only used to drive like a complete knob.
