@TheDUIGuyPlus He even said there are no tells, just guessing itโs the women. You cannot predict a juryโs decision based on their age, sex, looks, or what people speculate their political affiliation is. Sincerely, a progressive white woman in her early 30s who knows KR is innocent
@jacek_kapu94021@DoctorTurtleboy Most of us think cops are assholes so, no. This isnโt about politics itโs about evidence (or lack there of). Iโve seen a mix of liberals and conservatives leaning guilty and vice versa
@BostonGeorgina@Jake_Szetela@Mom_juggling I donโt think thereโs a conspiracy with the jury just because it doesnโt seem to be working out in the favor we want or expect. But I do think they are divided just like the whole state of MA and the internet is on this case.
@Hulabin1@Skipvue I don't agree that the evidence shows that she did it, but they will absolutely have to try the case again. It's a murder case. The commonwealth isn't gonna be like "Oh well!"
@jerrythornton YES! I served on a Grand Jury for 3 months. It's work. and that was to get 13 out of 23 people to agree there is reasonable cause, not get a unanimous decision beyond a reasonable doubt. We were all very different people, we argued a lot and had to check our biases at the door.
@tinytink052 @UKRyderCupRoy@DoctorTurtleboy Though I don't think all of TB's content is appropriate for kids, the message is much bigger than TB or Karen Read. Kids are citizens. If KR's found guilty, the message to citizens is clear: police can do whatever they want and the CW doesn't have to prove beyond reasonable doubt
The #KarenReadTrial has included 29 DAYS of testimony and people expect a verdict within one? These are people who are taking their civic duty seriously and not influenced by outside sources like everyone else
I'm starting to get concerned that not enough people in our country understand why "beyond a reasonable doubt" matters. Do they get that it's better for a guilty person to be free than an innocent person to lose their liberty? I don't think they do. Frightening.
@jessmachadoshow Children are subpoenaed in court all the time. What about child abuse/SA cases? They have to testify in front of the defendant in detail. If the kids are pertinent to the case of course they would be called.
