Narcissistic Personality Disorder (especially the covert or high-mask variants) is a hidden disorder by design.
Most mental health conditions reveal themselves through visible symptoms or clear patterns that are hard to conceal. NPD is different because:
1. The disorder depends on maintaining a façade
A narcissist’s entire psychological survival system revolves around:
- controlling how they’re perceived
- hiding their shame and emptiness
- projecting a stable, likable, competent persona
Their “mask” isn’t just behavior — it becomes their identity. They’ve practiced it since childhood.

@London_W4 Ah, that’s what I needed to see today, sitting inside with my tea while the rain lashes down - properly autumnal gorgeousness, captured beautifully 🍄
@London_W4 The pose, the setting with the wood floor, and the monochrome palette reminds me of Degas’s Little Dancer bronze ballerina - really beautiful 💕
@London_W4 Ah, the wonderful Cross Keys in Cov - it’s a very significant pub for me too, memories of nights there with just one person who meant a great deal to me. Hope the memories were gentle for you 💕 xx
@Roseyanny I *love* Barry M polish - fantastic colours and very long lasting - plus I always finish with Seche Vite top coat and a manicure can last two weeks - a month on the tootsies!
@GRCinemaTicket Columbo - nothing better… Man, I loved them back then and even more so now. Peter Falk was just perfect (even with the occasional crappy scripts) 💕
@NintendoUK@NintendoEurope Customer Services won't tell me if or when the correct goods will arrive. Running out of time for the 14 day return option. Pretty sure this is close to illegal. What is your complaints procedure? Worst Customer Services I have EVER experienced 2/2
@NintendoUK@NintendoEurope I've had two Switch BOTW Pack orders accepted, 1 incorrect console and 2 games delivered. Both times told the order has been delivered in full. £680 taken, goods not delivered. Customer services blatantly ignore questions - phone lines suspended 1/2
@CocaColaUK Christmas didn't need your saturation-level branding overload here in @CanaryWharf
Perhaps try an alternative and more straightforward strapline; how about this? "The original taste of type 2 diabetes and bone mineral density loss"
