A whole generation of young, sharp, and motivated soldiers standing ready to protect Uganda from any bad elements. The CDF - Gen @mkainerugaba is not just strengthening today’s UPDF, he is securing Uganda’s tomorrow.
A strong army depends on a strong economy. We shall continue building Uganda through wealth creation, industrialisation and stronger defence capabilities. I also congratulated the CDF, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and the UPDF leadership for improving soldiers’ welfare. As we prepare for the LCI and Women Council elections, I urge wananchi to elect leaders of integrity who will fight corruption and serve the people.
Today, I passed out 11,947 UPDF recruits, including 1,002 from the Central African Republic (CAR), at Kaweweta. I congratulated them and reminded them that discipline, integrity, good health and rigorous training are the foundation of a capable army. In this Kisanja of No more Sleep, we must continue working hard.

President Yoweri Museveni says Ugandans should instead appreciate the military operations led by his son, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, arguing that the army is arresting suspects and taking them to court rather than shooting on the spot.
Museveni said the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda had written to him expressing concern that the military's recent operations resemble the tactics employed during the regimes of former presidents Idi Amin and Milton Obote.
Museveni has dismissed the comparison, arguing that the Uganda People's Defence Forces is acting within the law by apprehending suspects for prosecution rather than killing them. Museveni further said the military operations are intended to combat what he described as impunity among "greedy and egotistic" opposition leaders and their supporters.
