Limerick’s annual summer festival commemorating the Flight of the Wild Geese and celebrating the friendship between Ireland and France (12 & 13 July 2025)
Dear followers,
This platform has progressively drifted far away from the values we defend & has become quite toxic. We’ve therefore decided to suspend this account. We won’t be posting here anymore. Join us on @bluesky at https://t.co/vAqIXYFVGy or on FB, LinkedIn or Instagram
Félicitations ! 👏👏

Not every day that the announcement of a major investment by a French company in county Limerick makes reference to the historical ties between France and Limerick that we have been celebrating annually since 2019! Welcome to Limerick @NEOEN_Energy!
Today in 1691..
The Signing of the Treaty of Limerick took place ending
the 1689 to 1691 Williamite War in Ireland.
(Chunks of the Treaty Stone were often chipped off by souvenir hunters until it was raised on a pedestal in 1865.)

So sorry to hear this! @PigtownLimerick is such a great festival. As another festival organised by volunteers, we fully understand the @LimerickFoodGrp’s decision. Inclusive, community-led festivals cannot survive in the long run without meaningful support from @LimerickCouncil
#Limerick, “une ville où il fait bon vivre” concludes a great documentary on French-German TV chanel @artetvfr_live with such familiar faces as @ELangfordMusic, Dan Mooney & Simon Berrow and 3 of its best pubs (Crew, Charlie Malones & Mother Macs)!
