@woodcarver_t The grain shows off your carving beautifully, Peter. I'm currently carving a large turtle out of oak. Next I'll carve a few small turtles to surround the big one and perhaps call the diorama 'The Mother Ship'. I did a similar carving diorama last year with owls.

@HWarlow Oh, Helen, this did make me laugh. My three brothers and my dad were practicing on our various musical instruments ready for an upcoming school dance. A loud knock on the door was answered by mum, a neighbors little girl wanted to know if I would play Hopscotch with her.

@LifeWithJohn I'm with you there, John. I once bought a block of Feta cheese, I love making Greek salads. After fixing two salads I opened the newly purchased Feta, it was moldy and smelled terrible. Put me off Greek salads for ages.
