Light and Darkness has nothing in common. The Bible is the standard. It's high time we kicked out falsehood and embraced #TRUTH
Life without Jesus is meaningless
He said he's one with the father and all should honour him just as the honour the father.
He also said the father is in him and he is in the father.
Actually he said a lot about his Godhood, you only care to ignore that part and focus only on his human nature
If Jesus wanted us to think of himself and God almighty as equals, he won’t use a father and son analogy to describe their relationship
He would use twins and we’ll grab it well
Instead, he used a father and son analogy
Why?
Answer: John 14:28
@PSU_Lion_commit@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki U don't have to understand it, u only hv to know it's the TRUTH cos God's ways are not ours.We can't do what he can
God is beyond human logic/compensation. He can replicate himself, be at different places at once etc
If we can understand God ways via our ways, then He isnot God
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki It's a mystery that the father is the same person as Jesus by Devine essence (Godhood),vise versa
That's why he's God, nothing is impossible with Him. This is the Truth about God that every Christian should accept. Denying the deity of Jesus is denying the father @Oluwadaniel_0
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki If the answer in Proverbs is Yahweh, and Jesus identifies Himself as the only one who descended or ascended(John 3:13), then the Son is not distinct from the father by nature. There's only distinction of persons not essence. @Oluwadaniel_0
@voosiki@Oluwadaniel_0 His name is YHWH, and His Son's name is Jesus Christ. The Son is distinct from the Father, yet has the Father's exact divine nature as bible says @voosiki
@voosiki@Oluwadaniel_0 It just asks the name of His Son. & distinguishes the son from the Father, but never says the Son is a creature
Distinctn of person as affirmed by Trinity isnt denial of deity. Bible says that Son is the One who was with God &was God
The Devine nature of d father is who Jesus is
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki The Father is not called firstborn because firstborn is a messianic title of rulership and judgement
Jesus Christ is the one that rules and judges creation not the father, so that title (of supremacy over creation)belongs to Him. They hv different roles, but one Devine essence.
@voosiki@Oluwadaniel_0 God called David &others His firstborn, yet David was neither God's literal son nor God's firstcreated. Thus, that title in this context clearly doesnt mean first created or literally born first.
In David's case,God explains the meaning as the highest of the kings(Rank, rulership)
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki You clearly and rightly affirmed that David is created, therefore by your own right reasoning in this case, he must logically be of a created family. Yet your assumed meaning of firstborn doesn't work on him, why should it of Jesus?

@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki Yes, David was created. That's precisely the point. Since David was created & yet firstborn didn't mean first created in his case, being created does not define the meaning of the title. Thus, you can't argue that becos Jesus is called firstborn,He must be the first creature.
@voosiki@Oluwadaniel_0 Colossians 1:17 says "For by him all things were created... whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him."
@voosiki@Oluwadaniel_0 Neither of the text explicitly says Jesus was created. That conclusion is being read into the text
In Scripture, firstborn often refers to rank, ruler or supremacy, not being the first created. David, Ephraim etc were called firstborns by God, but weren't so of their families
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki That's the essence of personification in literature: To ascribe humanlike qualities to a nonhuman object or abstract idea.
Proverbs is the collections of Solomon and other people's wise sayings just like the Asian or African Proverbs
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki Get to where actually?
Only way to reject this theological truth is for you to sincerely assume the position of an atheist. But trust me, I have been there before
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki You can personify whatever you want
But theologically, the holy Spirit is literal. We cud feel its action in our lives, appears like a dove etc with real/actionable qualities, not an abstract idea like wisdom,Justice etc
Appearance of the holy Spirit is literal, cos it happens
@Oluwadaniel_0@voosiki That's the human side of him. He was truly and fully human like you and I, prayed like you and I and addressed the father as such, just as we would because of his humanity
But his Devine nature says he was an exact nature/inprint of the father. Whatever the father is, so is he
