Civilians doesn't hate BTS music, they just hate the tag "BTS". If u put X song to them, they will like it coz BTS has insane diversity in their discography, but the moment they hear it's a song from BTS. Their reaction changes. For example: house of cards ๐คท

#OpEd: Writer Ayan Artan examines how the Grammys 2027 rules and categories, especially best Asian pop music performance, can be seen as part of a history of gatekeeping non-white artists from major award categories. https://t.co/LYn2t549EG
@presidenkutina@ponkans7@dtorresa07@TheePopCore worked on the album with them as well as who they honoured on the album. I know you won't because you want to hate for the sake of it but at least make up something correct for you to be "upset" with. I mean indirectly calling them racist when you are a k-poppie is insane.
@presidenkutina@ponkans7@dtorresa07@TheePopCore I take it you've not listened to the album as you don't like BTS but you could at least have looked up your statement first ๐ Just because their main song is in English doesn't means it doesn't contain Korean, as for hating "yall" as you put it, you might want to check who
Recording Academy member Adam Merter Birson on BTS at the GRAMMYs 2027:
โ "BTS ARMY should make a push for ARIRANG to win Album of the Year and not be marginalized with Best Asian Pop Music category. I think it's great if smaller artists could get recognized, but not BTS. BTS is way too big and way too important of a group to be falling into this trap."
@globalpinks_ Lol, 4 years and they didn't bother. Another group comes back and suddenly there is a new category so they don't have to give them a major Grammy.
when BTS was pacing to Artist of the Year on BBMAs, billboard randomly removed a whole chart - which was literally 1 out of 5 point contributors to ALL artist charts
when BTS is having the biggest release of the year, overpowering western acts in their home, Grammys for the first time in their 68 years history are making a category to box out Asians in racist and xenophobic segregation.
when was to rightfully win Song of the Year on VMAs, it was given to an attending white with barely 2% votes
where BTS was winning AMAs in best pop category, they came back to separation of brand new kpop categories so pop acts can win without the threat of BTS and armys
History repeats itself over and over, and BTS will continue to grow until this racist industry has nowhere else to run
Look at how all the Latino fans immediately understood what was happening and fans of other Latino artists didnโt start saying it was done just so Bad B could win. Meanwhile, Kpop stans are out here saying it was done on purpose for BTS to win and that they bought the category.
@ravkaur1307@chartradar_ I agree they should get it, what I'm saying is this category was created for a reason just like the Latin one was years ago, and it's not a nice one.
@AceCC16@saesaesael@TheePopCore Why add it now when BTS return, they've been gone for years and the Grammy's hasn't bothered but now they have competition and it's suddenly an issue. Even if you don't like BTS the fact that you are happy with the blatant racism says it all
@AceCC16@saesaesael@TheePopCore The ones you mentioned in your first tweet are American Asian or just American. Lady Gaga is American, Lorde is from New Zealand. You not liking BTS still doesn't make them payola and if Grammy's don't do things like that why add a new category right now?
