In the “Cat” Matlala proposed plea deal with IDAC that fell away a few months ago, Matlala makes a series of allegations relating to
the controversial SAPS Medicare medical services contract.

In a draft unsigned 25 page affidavit, he alleges widespread corruption involving senior police officials and political figures, including Lt Gen Shadrack Sibiya, former Police Minister Bheki Cele and others.

Matlala claims he paid Sibiya substantial sums of money.

Matlala further alleges that Medicare’s financial statements were manipulated to make the company appear operational before the tender was awarded.

He claims that officials sought payments or employment benefits and that tender documents and due-diligence processes were manipulated.

He says bank statements, WhatsApp messages, tender documents and potential witnesses could help corroborate his account.

At the time, Matlala was seeking a potential benefit of a lesser jail term in exchange for cooperating with the state.

If he can move faster than bullets, why would he ever let an enemy finish an attack? He could disarm Ultron’s entire army before anyone even realized he had moved. Imagine giving Quicksilver a pair of Vibranium daggers and letting him fight Thanos. He could target the Infinity Gauntlet before Thanos even has the time to harness its power.

The problem with speedsters isn’t that they’re too powerful. It’s that writers constantly have to find excuses for why they don’t use their powers to end fights in seconds.
