@LibDems This post may work in England but it sounds completely deaf to voters in Scotland and Wales. The Liberal Democrats are a federal party which should represent the whole United Kingdom.
@mrrobosborne It should be. If not, we're not being serious about tackling our economy and our health service. Both are dependent on a well educated population.

The accountability gap down the middle of the Atlantic is widening so fast: Could a UK Prime Minister go off back of Epstein but not a single man in America lose his job or go to prison for what THEY did?
On this day in 1918, Tbilisi State University was founded - a beacon of Georgian education and free thought.
Today, after 108 years, the ruling Georgian Dream party ended its independence, politicizing the university and threatening academic freedom.

Swansea City 2 West Bromwich Albion 2 (6-5 on penalties). Very unusually, I watched the game from the first row rather than the back of the stand. The perceived faster pace and congested space add to the excitement. I have no idea how managers follow the game from the touchline.
As the credits rolled, nobody in the cinema moved. That was the emotional punch of #Hamnet - an extraordinary film with an astonishing performance from Jesse Buckley. If I woz more cleverer I'd have understood a lot more than I did.
Terry Yorath was one of my early heroes when he played in the great Leeds side and for Wales. I loved the fact that he wasn't one of the glamour stars and had to fight hard for his place at Leeds. He then had to deal with terrible tragedy. So sad. RIP.
After nearly 40 years living here it was time to see a film at the oldest film club in Wales, Abergavenny's no less.
#Santosh was both gripping and repulsive, telling the story of a corrupt and violent police force.
The film captured conflicts and tensions brilliantly.
The USA already has a defence agreement with Denmark that gives them exclusive and full military access to Greenland. But they are not using it. They have downgraded their presence by 99%.
Now, apparently, they are telling their base that they need to invade and annex Greenland because they need to have a large military presence.
I don't believe anyone in #TheArchers is capable of hitting George over the head with a bottle of win in a pre-meditated way. It could therefore only be one of Markie's mates or Clive. Anything else would run against the characters whicb have been created.
Very different from the film - it's only really the idea which survived - it was brave to write #TheZoneOfInterest but it doesn't quite come off.
A dark comedy about the management of a concentration camp, the book generates uncomfortable laughter but loses its way a bit.
Great story-telling alongside the usual stunning film, I'm sure Wild London will do no end of good in encouraging wildlife back. https://t.co/ytJ7H4K0rE via @bbciplayer
