@IanSollom@NFFNUK It was great to welcome you to our family farm and discuss many of the issues that farmers are facing. Pleased to be able to show you how we are farming for food, nature and climate benefits. Also explain more about the @NFFNUK and its work.
@FavColour_Green It was great to see you today. It was great to see novices having their first go at a hedge cutting competition to those who do it professionally all supporting each other sharing knowledge and their expertise to keep the hedge laying tradition thriving for the future.
Today I'm at a hedgelaying competition (as a spectator!) in Cambridge on @LinesMartin farm
They're laying a young maiden hedge. This will thicken it right out from the base, make it a lot more robust, better for wildlife etc
Also a great time to get those damn spirals removed
Great podcast on natural capital markets and how they can support farmers, with our CEO, @LinesMartin, as one of the speakers. Definitely worth a listen!
Looking forward to hosting this on our farm. 👇

Watch @nffnuk@WildlifeTrusts event on “Are our farms future proof?” great panel & audience discuss if UK food & farming is prepared to adapt to changing climate & role that nature can play in supporting farm businesses to be more resilient #ORFC25#OFC25

Great lunch at today’s #ORFC with @DanielZeichner. Encouraging to hear his commitment: “Nature-friendly farming is the direction we want to go… We won’t cut back on ELMs - you’re winning the argument.” 😄
Our CEO, @LinesMartin responds to Steve Reeves speech at OFC: “Focusing solely on food production risks undermining long term food security. If we don't put the environment and nature at the heart of farming, food security will be in peril”. Read here:🔗 https://t.co/f2cTzlwyia
With lots of discussion around methane I’ve shared my thoughts in @FarmersGuardian. While these additives may offer solutions, we need to consider their wider impacts on soil health, farming systems, and consumer trust. A more holistic approach is needed

@PaulWoldfarm@ADMAgriculture There are many public and private schemes that supports environmental and climate benefits that also make business sense for farmers. The future is about finding the right balance that fits each farms opportunity.
Farming has to adapt - extreme weather, rising costs, and climate pressures are making it harder. On our farm, we’re working with @ADMAgriculture and others to improve soil 🌱, protect wildlife 🦉, and keep farming sustainable. More here 👇
The Methane “Keep Up the Momentum” report out today!. I gave evidence to @HLEnviroClimate It’s great to see key recommendations included: improving animal health, better slurry handling, integrating methane goals into ELM & clearer farmer focused policies

It's good to see NGOs and others coming out to support nature friendly farming. If Government wants to deliver on its nature and climate targets it will need to be helping farmers do it through public money for public goods.
Green champions, including @WildlifeTrusts and @WWF_UK, are urging the Government to fix our broken agricultural system. It’s time to support farmers in embracing nature-friendly practices that protect our planet and secure our future.
