Did you know that for every €1 spent on Irish goods €5 comes back to the local economy. 80% of consumers underestimate the positive impact of shopping local. We encourage shoppers to Buy Irish & Support Local this June for @guaranteed_irl Food Month.
Varadkar's infantile obsession with 'Ireland being on the world map' has led to the highest rents in the EU, Vultures gobbling up all new builds, a tax haven status and complete over reliance on FDI. What it hasn't done, is improve our lives one iota.
A short clip from part of my speech yesterday Outside government buildings where thousands of taxi drivers turned up in their cars to protest the complete lack of any support from the government.

“We certainly aren’t finished”
Former Debenhams worker Valerie Conlon speaking to @katieokeeffe97 on Patrick Street in #Cork city this morning as they bid farewell to the picket line after 406 days
The ex-Debenhams workers have shown how workers can fight back. They’ve sustained what might actually be the longest multi-location strike in Irish trade union history. They ran the strike, start to finish. They manned pickets, put bodies on the line, and inspired thousands. 1/
Absolute dereliction of duty from MANDATE. They had the militant support of the workers, and yet they made the them re-vote on a deal they'd previously rejected.
Workers put their time and bodies on the line to fight KPMG, and had to drag MANDATE along kicking and screaming.
@altkrelb @DebenhamsStaff Trade unions unprepared and unwilling! Union leaders too far removed from the real struggles facing the working class.
@MandateTU
Time for change!
Time for reform!
Time for real leadership!
Time to abolish the 1990 Industrial Relations Act!!

@RedFMNews@DebenhamsStaff@LanaRedFM@CorksRedFM I don't think any worker would describe it as "fair"....
Far from it!!! It was the only option after 406 days of Industrial Action.
It is abundantly clear how little this Gov thinks of the working class in Ireland having voted against 3 bills/motions in the past year!
