@DanieleCreole @mellosemcor Excellent stuff and - not to get tech photo nerdy - amazing control of tone variations and contrast on film in tough harsh light conditions.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@DannyJiminian @NolanAnalyst Yes. Turn them on as you usually would with YouTube.

@MarionVanR N’est-ce pas pour ce qu’on appelle « traffic calming » au Royaume-Uni ? C'est-à-dire un système pour ralentir la circulation dans les deux sens.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@KevinAbroad1 Most who say this are monolingual or think speaking a language involves basically just being able to say hello, order a beer and ask where the museum is. They’ve no idea of the depth of skills full functionality in a language takes and the nuances between languages.

@_david_ho_ You should see the rate some black cab drivers whip through that (although if headed west many go on to that sneaky little gate they have in Chelsea Harbour and hop over Wandsworth bridge instead).

@postcardsfrmv Proust obviously takes the gold medal. And the silver and bronze, actually. In fact, everyone else needs to leave the stadium and stand in the parking lot.

@mhdksafa Its a caffè sospeso. Not new in Naples. Been around for hundred plus years. And, yes, awesome tradition.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@iamcolinquinn It’s in the neighbourhood where the sun pours in like butterscotch and sticks to all your senses, so you stay, and put on a day, and talk in present tenses.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@KevinAbroad1 Not crazy, but fascinating. In Wolof, verbs don’t change but all the work of conjugation is done instead with pronouns. It’s more about aspect than tense, too.

@Derek__Prowse @shumi_4 And a fledgling into course on isiZulu now on Duo

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@shumi_4 I am in Botswana now on holiday - demêlang borra le bomaa! Was in SA and Zimbabwe over the last ten days. I’ve dabbled in isiZulu and Kiswahili and plan to get better. And also learn some basic Setswana, Yoruba and Wolof.

@BayAreaGooner88 @TheFigen_ Sundays River, Eastern Cape, South Africa

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@MM__88__05__MM @TheFigen_ It’s in South Africa on the Sundays river in the Eastern Cape

@_B___S Btw, re several comments and likely future comments, the last domestic case of rabies in the UK was in 1902, so that’s not a worry here. The US: different story.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@lostblackboy @bcreative10 Hopefully they’ll be pretty stoic about the loss.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@TruthPimp @fasc1nate The reason for this per a Tsonga tribe member safari guide is that a lot of people in Africa still rely on rivers for water for cleaning, cooking, etc., so therefore come into contact more with them than other dangerous animals. And yes - fast and very protective of young.

[Lingophilo @Lingophilo]

@sykesjeff Nice shot. Interesting how similar the markings on his breast are to this Martial Eagle I took in Kenya. Looks like any-shirt with birds of prey on it.
