In conclusion, Murdaugh’s language suggests that he was attempting to be in control while also ingratiating himself to police, all while he purports be have just found his wife and son murdered.

“…and um, you know I called 911…pretty much right away and she was very good. Um, I talked to her. Um, O told her I was going to get off the phone to call some family members. I did that.”
“…to call some family members. I did that.” His need to explain, not only that he “told” her he was getting off the phone, but also why, is out of bounds. To then have a need to affirm that he in fact “did that” should have us question if there could be another reason too.
“…as limited as possible” is as if he were saying, ‘I am on your side (police). I want you to solve this crime, so I was careful with the evidence.’ It’s ingratiating himself into the investigation.

“I tried to take, I mean I tried to do it as limited as possible, but I tried to take their pulse on both of them.”
Alex Murdaugh tells us ‘preserving a crime scene’ was more important than giving aid to his own family.

@bombazineisland I don’t have a lot of knowledge about suicide notes. I’ve seen a few.
If he killed committed suicide, this will be a very interesting psychological profile, IMO. But his letter doesn’t tell me he had had the ideation to do it.
The Jeffrey Epstein “suicide note” is difficult to decipher all the handwriting.
However, there does not appear to be any clear suicidal ideation in it and the language dissociates him from the writing.
@bombazineisland This question also creates the point that whatever it is he has decided to do, he feels like is something he should be crying about, but won’t be. It seems like he has a negative linguistic disposition over the idea that someone suicidal might be depressed and cry…
@bombazineisland 4). He introduced the concept of ‘Fun’ in his ‘suicide letter.’ Even though in the negative, why was he thinking of ‘fun’ and why does he use it as an implied reason for suicide?
