If only there was a ludicrous initiative, research and development to point the SW academics toward a feasible direction.
Patiently waiting to observe the lightbulb moment as it happens. Any day now..

Please download the Proceedings of #Semantics2019 for free! We had to pay 9,637.22 Euro to Springer to make this possible for you...
A lot of money... What do you think, should we better publish on our own and donate the saved costs to charity or environment protection?
VIVO 2019 Conference Task Force is very pleased to announce the presentations and speakers for the Tenth Annual VIVO Conference. https://t.co/F0jZMoqpF9. Our keynote speaker is @hvdsomp and our invited speakers are @natadimou and @csarven#vivo19#LInkedData#OpenData.
@stefanjdecker@kidehen@vrandezo@joplam In a long enough timeline it is all dead 🚀️😇. URIs are sufficient but we can improve the social angle. Encourage publishing persistence policies eg via ODRL. Research/Use Robust Links & archiving at time of registering/linking. Invest more on-demand public archiving services..
@azraiekv@csarven@Twitter Yea, totally.. what's going on @TwitterSupport ? What were the "unusual" activities? Apparently they've appealed but no action was taken.
@stefanjdecker@kidehen@vrandezo@joplam DOI is an oxymoron of the Web. Privileged gets to decide what to identify and create them. Systems that only use DOIs for currency/exchange are anti-inclusive by design. Neither is it the case that quality or appropriateness of what it identifies is assured. Current use is FUBAR.
@stefanjdecker@kidehen@vrandezo@joplam What kind of additions? Social? See:
* https://t.co/0qMPHMRH8s
* https://t.co/o9loGjd467
We could add infinite wrappers around URIs.. but the bottom line is going to be mostly social/trust/policy/consensus based. Relevant example: https://t.co/8eXFgyRorB
[Deadline approaching: 25 Jan 2019] We are looking for a person to work on a new 1-year project, funded by @wellcometrust, for extending the #OpenCitations Corpus with in-text citation data! Place of work: @UniboMagazine, Italy. More info at https://t.co/3tn8ceIBcz #OpenScience
🍄 @iswc_conf#ISWC2019 levels up on the #LinkedResearch initiative and keeps the spirit alive.
Check out the new HTML guidelines: https://t.co/BxKQ7I1Dpj .
One major step: ISWC encouraging self-publishing.
#SemanticWeb academics, this is for *you*. Make the best out of it!
I wrote a blogposting for @Gen_R_:
Beyond #FakeScience: How to Overcome Shallow Certainty in Scholarly Communication
https://t.co/Vx6fbTIvep
It's a divergent take on Germany's recent big #scholcomm debate. Hope you like it.
Thank you @Protohedgehog & @mrchristian99 for support!
🔔 Starts in 2 hours. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Hop on the "paradigm shift" bandwagon all by yourself using the native Web stack - anything less would be uncivilised =)

There is a @force11rescomm Scholarly Commons ( https://t.co/12xzCsOiub ) WG4 meeting/call on Tuesday:
https://t.co/GSRanux2B6 .
I was invited to talk about the #LinkedResearch initiative/paradigm with some Q&A. Everyone is welcome to join. #OpenScience
Dear colleagues, do you still invest in time consuming reviewing work (of course for free) for non #openaccess journals, such as e.g. Elsevier's, that charge you money to read papers that your colleagues wrote and reviewed (for free)?
@csarven @Protohedgehog Very good read! We should learn #LinkedResearch early at school, university, during PhD. The idea is not common outside computer science.
