After learning about communities, the 2nd graders picked an important place to make with their group. After building the walls last week, students worked on adding some details to the inside of their building today. #makerspace
Fifth graders are using the 4 Cs during our cardboard challenge. I am so impressed by how well they are working together and using strategies to make their projects sturdy and clean this year! #thelesstapethebetter
These second graders designed birdhouses after reading “The Best Nest”. They did a great job collaborating with their partners and coming up with creative designs. #makerspace
It was a great day in the Link Library! The students were so excited to browse the shelves and check out books the “normal” way after more than 500 days of no check out or cart check out! #linklions#weare54
5th and 6th graders are doing a great job identifying the genres of their favorite books and telling why they would recommend them to their classmates! #weare54#loveforreading
The 1st week of school with students was definitely different, but I must say ALL my classes did amazing! I loved seeing and talking to them on zoom, reading stories to them, and teaching them JamBoard! I loved getting to know who they are as a person and as a reader. #weare54
The Link Library Virtual Classrooms are ready to welcome students Monday! Can't wait to see all you Link Lions on our zooms next week😍 #weare54#virtuallearning
Thanks PE teachers for the virtual field day! We are 1/2 way through the stations and taking a lunch break and then will finish the other 4 stations! #54stepsup
After first graders completed a Simple Machines Escape Room, thanks @CreevyLRT for creating it, they answered a few open ended questions about these machines. #54stepsup
Kinders have learned about 3 of the 6 simple machines so last week we had a mid unit build! They listened to Recess Queen and had the choice of building a lever, inclined plane, or wheel and axle that they see on the playground! Loved seeing their creations! #54stepsup
Last week 5th & 6th graders had the choice to create a ringtone using soundation or build a catapult. They have been doing a great job mixing sounds or finding materials that would make a cotton ball soar! Check out a ringtone example in the comments! #54stepsup#makerspaceathome
After spending a few weeks learning the 6 simple machines second graders used their creativity to make a time machine that included atleast 3 of the simple machines. They are doing a great job! #vlearning#54stepsup
