A thought I’ve had for a while:
People often joke about how ruthless Vox was when he was alive but was “soft” when he first appeared in hell and how it��s “odd” but I’ve often wondered: What if dying is what gave him some clarity? What if in death, he considered the things he neglected in life and put more effort to seek them in death? We see him still value friendship in Val and Velvette even after everything yet we saw him as a one man act when he was alive. Dying can change you and your perceptions. What if Alastor’s rejection ended up being a “you know what? I was a fool for trying to change or be better” and permanently altered his course?

very probably my favourite scene of the entire show. they’re both just having so much fun with it and their shared giggle at the end makes me smile. “you’re broken from the start, no victory will ever be enough” is also very probably my favourite line about vox. it’s so defining.

Something I noticed Vox and Charlie have in common is they’re insatiable, they like the chase and grind of getting what they desire more than actually having it. Both tend to ignore the people/things they already have in favor of other people/things that they desire at that-
