First heard the exquisite vocals and guitar playing of @hattiewmusic in March with band Hijera delivering masterful performances of #JoniMitchell songs. https://t.co/jC83XoGubK
Wonderful2 hear Hattie performing her own songs solo tonight to packed Shepherds Bush empire! Beautiful
One year on from the 1st #SAFE courses & Training of Trainers in Somaliland, Mubarak, Ekram, Edna & Hawa joined the faculty of our recent courses & were amazing - we are so proud of you 🤩 @Mubarak_Mohme@HusseinKooi@XawaRawda
@DrNFreeman @Davidmarkpye @Assoc_Anaes@SAFE_courses I did the IRC fellow role in my final years of training.
I gained lots of new skills and experience, met and worked with inspiring people from across the globe and was privileged to contribute to rewarding and exciting projects.
Happy for anyone interested to DM me for a chat!👍
@DrNFreeman @Davidmarkpye @Assoc_Anaes Actually, like the Association Trainee Committee roles its a rewarding voluntary position done alongside training. The IRC Fellow is coopted into the committees involving the Association’s International+ charitable work (education, @SAFE_courses research, grants), budget4expenses
@lowri_bowen Woohoo, gwych i weld! 🎉
Great to see you back on the bike Lowri 👍
I clearly remember the dizzy high of 1st time back on my bike after a yr away with no wheels in Madagascar… whizzing down a hill, wind in your face = pure elation!!!
Couldn’t keep the smile off my face😀ENJOY
Lovely gig of seasonal story songs to warm the heart on a frosty night in Oxford’s Holywell Music rooms with @TheFurrowC, thanks @OCMEVENTS
Quite possibly my first encounter with the “musical saw”, on which @LucyLucyfarrell makes a surprisingly soothing sound!
COVID#1 and COVID#2 played havoc with my❤️+🫁
I was breathless just walking and kept passing out.
Did #couch25k many times before but this time took *30 MONTHS* not 9wks!
Elated to be running 30mins again!
Thanks4advice+encouragement @lowri_bowen@DrHMShaw@SoPooley#dyfaldonc
@Helenfmurray Dw i newydd orffen gwrando... Llongyfarchiadau @Helenfmurray @nawrywrawr, cyfweliad anhygoel!
👏 🎉
Hugely enjoyable episode for me as a beginner Welsh learner, I actually managed to follow and found it fascinating, ti'n fy ysbrydoli! Diolch yn fawr am y cyfweliad diddorol iawn
In fact a metal detector would take 4DAYS not 4hours to clear the same area the size of a tennis court and the rats are too light to set off the devices but indicate to the team where they are buried… 80% of those killed by landmines are civilians and 50% of those are children.
In 30 minutes, trained African giant pouched @herorats can safely find the landmines in an area that would take 4hrs to clear with a metal detector. “Apopo” team saving thousand of lives clearing Cambodia of unexploded devices left behind by war @lowri_bowen
Wonderful to see a cohort of amazing new Cambodian 🇰🇭 faculty for Safer Anaesthesia From Education (SAFE) courses honing their teaching skills on the Train the Trainers course after Cambodia’s first ever SAFE paediatrics course. @lowri_bowen@SAFE_courses@wfsaorg@Assoc_Anaes
Great 3day teaching in Phnom Penh. First Cambodian @SAFE_courses Paediatrics. Privileged to meet so many anaesthetic providers motivated to learn. So excited for future Cambodian courses after the amazing train the trainer course today. @LinnyBaxter@wfsaorg@Assoc_Anaes
