My last day of placement completed yesterday! Feeling very sad to be leaving SWFT but keen to start the next stage of my journey as an NQP speech and language therapist. #MyStudentSLTDay@HARSbcu@BCUHELS
@flamingcopper The course is hard and very fast paced. I had some form of blues every year not just 2nd year but I'm in the final stretch now and can finally see light. I think it's so important to ask for help and more needs to be done to help students with this.
Have recently started doing watercolour pet portraits. I'm all fully booked for xmas but if u want a gift voucher for a present let me know. Can be posted in UK. https://t.co/6Yis2nrAI6
"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Dr. Seus.
Please remember though that we have a self referral process as well! Not all out members climb trees!
@RBcusalt Ross your enthusiasm and eagerness to help anyone who needed it and your determination to make it work despite a busy schedule made you stand out. I get so much from @HARSbcu and knew that you would too.
@dvsouthbham@bcuharssoc@BCUHELS@Danielle3429342 Im the president of HARsSOC. Sorry I was too ill to be at the event. If you ever need a face painter for a celebration event I'm happy to help out if I have availability. You can find me on Facebook. https://t.co/pw7lzF1bfl.
Y3 had a fantastic visit to @Cooper_Parry today. As well as believing that they can achieve great things, they learned about managing money. Of their 20 skittles to spend, they realised that the fortnite game would only work if they spent 3 sweets to pay the electricity bill!!
#primarycareshow Lisa Ogden talking about working with young people with SLCN in the criminal justice system. Importance of understanding who these children are and the reasons why they communicate behaviourally rather than verbally. @SLTatBCU@HARSbcu
#primarycareshow really inspiring and practical advice and strategies for working with bilingual children and families.
Key message are that all bilingual children and families are unique and that the importance of valuing and helping maintain the home language. @SLTatBCU
Great whistlestop tour of how to tackle SM and SLTs roles. Great quote too. "If a child tackles SM they have a skill for life - protecting their mental health!" Lots of info at @InfoSmira#MyStudentSLTDay
