Magic Castle Update: Re-opening Friday Night! Recovery and repair teams have been working in shifts literally around the clock to get the club house back up and running after the fire. Today the work proved worthwhile as inspection from the city has been passed and the place is set to re-open in 25 hours. Tonight would’ve been founder Milt Larsen’s 95th birthday and we had a big celebration planned. The event will be shifted to Sunday night, just after the Annual General Meeting of the Academy of Magical Arts. LAFD and staff and recovery crews are legends!

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." -MLK
As always, Dr. King's message is right on time. Today calls on all of us to hear his wisdom and put it into action.
As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us, darkness cannot drive out darkness, and hate cannot drive out hate. Only light and love can do that. So today, let’s remember our responsibilities to march hand in hand, to stand peacefully with dignity and purpose in the ongoing fight for justice. To organize. To mobilize. To vote. To believe, no matter how far away the mountaintop might feel, it is in our capacity to change our communities and our country for the better.
We share Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of a world where there is respect and justice for all. May we never forget him and the timeless contributions he left to the world, of courage, hope, and above all, love. ❤️
Join me in honoring my mother, #CorettaScottKing, this #MLKDay.
I’m grateful for her commitment to freedom, true peace, justice, and nonviolence.
I’m inspired by her love for humanity, her faith in God, and her consistency to purpose.
Without her, there would be no federal holiday commemorating my father’s birthday.
And The King Center, which she founded less than three months after Daddy was assassinated, would not exist.
Salute, Mama.

Love to all the Special Olympics athletes and my friends with intellectual disabilities. You are my heroes!❤️
Elon Musk using “retarded” in a meme isn’t just offensive—it’s intellectually lazy. Instead of making a substantive argument against Democrats, he resorts to schoolyard insults, reducing political discourse to crude mockery. This isn’t leadership; it’s dehumanization.
When a billionaire tech leader relies on slurs instead of reasoned critique, it raises serious questions about his judgment. Words matter, and resorting to this kind of language isn’t just careless—it’s a sign of weakness. If you have to degrade others to make a point, you’ve already lost the debate.
