Every day after practice, Iowa WR Jacob Gill hits the JUGS machine to catch 204 balls. He got the idea from Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, who catches 202 each day after seeing someone else who caught 200 a day.
Gill: โMy parents (taught) me at a young age about discipline, that youโve got to find different ways to separate yourself. I've just been going with that in every aspect of my life, just trying to find different ways where I can push myself more. You know, what more can I do? We talk about that in our (wide-receivers) room. We talk about that on the team. What more can you do? What more can you put in? And I take that personally. I'm trying to push myself to be great and get everything out of me.โ
While Iowa's passing offense has admittedly lacked production, Gill has been a constant, uplifting voice in that room the past 2 years since transferring from Northwestern. His final college game comes Wednesday vs. Vanderbilt.
Iowa ends 2025 allowing just 16.1 PPG.
Itโs now the 10th (!!) consecutive season the Hawkeyes have allowed fewer than 20 PPG.
No other FBS program currently has a streak longer than four (4) years.
And for Iowa, itโs been a decade.
Phil Parker, a MASTER at his craft.
Wilson Prep's fourth year as a football program results in the Tigers' first trip to a state championship.
After going 1-5 with one of the state's toughest schedules, Wilson Prep enters the 1A championship on a seven-game winning streak.

Jacob Gill on his approach to run blocking: "Just trying to find a different edge. Trying to find a way to separate myself...just trying to find a way to be a complete football player."
Also hit 50 receptions at Iowa vs. Minnesota. He'll play his 50th college game on Saturday.
Iowa is now up to 31.3 ppg on offense and ranks #2 nationally in total defense behind Ohio State (234.9 ypg), #6 in scoring defense (13.1 ppg) and #1 in punt returns.
"Jesus won the big fight already, so no matter what we do, we can go out there and just play free and play for the glory of God".
In the time we've gotten to know him, Mark Gronowski has been fairly outspoken about his Christian identity. Today I asked about his faith, and how he and the QB room are so openly connected in this way.
