On Monday, I’ll be joining R-Labs and other industry leaders to launch a #GlobalClusterOfInnovation initiative. We’ll be working to find solutions to some of Canada’s #RealEstate and #Housing issues. Learn more about the work they’re doing: https://t.co/nnraoZensU
🏠Everything starts at home.
🏠#Housing helps us stay employed, do better in school and participate more fully in society.
🏠This year, more than ever, we need to unite in recognizing this. #NationalHousingDay is tomorrow.
Meet a few of the inspiring women from CMHC’s early days.
Jean Taylor Strange was one of the first women in Canada to graduate with a degree in architecture. When asked what it felt like to be the only woman architect, she said "Like any other architect".

I loved being on this panel. Talked about the importance of partnerships, social considerations and future opportunities in improving housing affordability with great people! #ResponsibleInvestor, #RICanada22
Despite these challenges, there must be a continued push to address our long-term #housing supply needs, and the focus must be on the supply that meets the housing needs of everyone living in Canada. This is a call for action by the whole of Canadian society.
In June, we released Canada’s Housing Supply Shortages: Estimating what is needed to solve Canada’s housing affordability crisis by 2030 which found that an additional 3.5 million units is needed to restore housing #affordability in Canada.
I am in Toronto and looking forward to engaging with my fellow panelists tomorrow on the social impact of Canadian real estate at #RICanada22, #ResponsibleInvestor!
