@GuillermoTorti@_bhes_@forloopcodes you could ask it for technical help but it won't know how to create something abstract on its own because it is unable to grasp what "create" is supposed to entail in that context until it's trained on instances of that something abstract being created
@GuillermoTorti@_bhes_@forloopcodes unless it was trained otherwise... which would also become part of its framework anyway. it has no emotion or sense of reality, so its sense of logic is not real because it has no idea what connection anything has to anything until it's specifically taught
@GuillermoTorti@_bhes_@forloopcodes AI is like an army of crackheads but without even their gray matter. they have no idea what they do, but they do it anyway, and if you gave them any direction, they'd do something before you because they're an endlessly large army that does whatever for an endless amount of time
@GuillermoTorti@_bhes_@forloopcodes AI is good as a tool to make your job easier. but it on its own could not solve something like the navier stokes equation because it has no idea how it's supposed to unless it is trained on at least the foundations of a solution to it.
@GuillermoTorti@_bhes_@forloopcodes if you had a solution to a deep mathematical problem to an army of crackheads and they decided they would solve it before you, they probably would. so you don't give your solutions to armies of crackheads because they're not constrained by the fact you're just an ordinary dude
@_bhes_@forloopcodes the reason it does is because its database already has an example of "2+2=4", so it knows that a plus might follow a 2, then another two follows after that, then there's an instance of an = symbol, and then according to its database that is always followed by a 4
@_bhes_@forloopcodes AI cannot solve or create a new problem because its nature dictates that all it can do is relay what is already in its own database. it cannot even solve simple math equations unless theyre already in its own database because it doesn't know what a "math" is.
@_bhes_@forloopcodes a year ago i couldn't find any info about where the crankshaft sensor of a european 97 kia sportage is located. i was desperate and i ended up asking chatgpt. the location it gave me was wrong, i asked it again and it gave me a different location. it was also wrong
@_bhes_@forloopcodes so asking it questions about bulgarian history in english will give you actual information, and asking the same questions in bulgarian will give you bullshit. because it has no idea what it says, it just predicts where to put a word relative to how it's been put in the database
@_bhes_@forloopcodes you're canadian so you probably haven't had to deal with other languages, maybe french at most, but even today if you ask an LLM a question in a language like bulgarian, it will spit out bullshit, because it doesn't know what a language is. it just has a smaller db in bulgarian
@LilithLovett you threw your fist up in the air and yelled, "pave our roads!" your peers saw this and voted you in as mayor. and all you do with this newfound power now is pave the road from your house to the grocery store and back, over and over again. some activist!
@LilithLovett you and you apathetic little influencers sit once on your new armchairs and declare it's all over. it's all finished! we will never get anything better than this. maybe there is a God, maybe not. if there is one, do you reckon he'll be gracious towards human trash? towards you?
