Thank you readers. The Boy from the Sea is not, of course, number 1 in all the things, but that it's number 1 in British and Irish Historical Literature is wonderful to see. When I was writing The Boy from the Sea it was a big useful step to realise that I could think of the story as historical literature, that the 1970s were enough of another country.
