Hard surfaces at parks will be sprayed with a herbicide over a 2-week period starting June 8. The recent parks spraying didn't include hard surfaces. The herbicide (a type of pesticide) will wipe out grasses and weeds. Treated areas dry within the hour and can then be used again.

Improvements are coming to parking lots and bike paths over the next month. At Sunset Park, the north and south parking lot sections along Miller Road will be replaced as will the lot at Lynn Dillow Park. Bike path resurfacing will occur along Miller and Grafton Farm Drive. π
