jessica has always radiated this kind of positivity, and i think that's one of the things i admire most about her. maybe she has made mistakes in the past, like every human being does. but what matters is that she seems willing to embrace her past as part of her journey, rather than allowing it to define or destroy who she is today. sometimes our mistakes become lessons that shape us into better, stronger, and more self-aware versions of ourselves.

no one is perfect, and she doesn't need to spend her life proving that she is. she doesn't have to constantly explain herself, apologize for every accusation thrown at her, engage with every negative comment, or surrender to every narrative people create about her. sometimes the strongest response is simply to keep living, keep growing, keep creating, and keep showing up for the people who genuinely support you.

not everyone is meant to be a people pleaser, and not everyone will choose to see you positively. negativity may always exist, no matter how much you try to please people. but that doesn't mean it represents the whole picture. among all the noise, there are still so many people who choose to see her for her warmth, her growth, her talent, and the person she has become.

and honestly, there's something quietly powerful about not letting other people’s obsession with your past become your prison. some people may spend years trying to keep you frozen in an old version of yourself, but you don't have to stay there just because they refuse to move on.

while they keep revisiting the same old stories, she keeps writing new chapters.

she doesn't need to win every argument, change every mind, or prove her worth to people who have already decided what they want to believe. her growth doesn't require their permission, and her happiness doesn’t need their approval.

perhaps that's the part that speaks the loudest: she kept going.

she kept creating.
she kept growing.
she kept achieving.
she kept loving her fans.
and she kept becoming someone beyond the version of her that people once tried to define.

at some point, the most powerful answer to negativity isn't another explanation. it's simply living a life that proves you were never finished becoming who you are.

Picking Jessica up after work, a car came by really slowly and rolled down the window. All the fans were shouting, “Jessica, you did so well!” 🥹 Jessica then made a gesture like she was listening to everyone’s cheers, but she also pouted and looked like she was about to cry. 😭

After the car turned the corner, she suddenly popped her head back out and held up a name sign made by a Chinese fan, keeping it raised the whole time. 😭🫶

Haewon: We came down after having a really fun performance, and we are so, so happy to receive such a big award. The 'Sound of the Year' award means that the music we worked so hard on has been loved by so many people, so I think we are even happier. To our NSWERs who made it possible for us to receive this award, thank you so, so much. And since this is such a meaningful award, I’d like the other members to share a word too!

Jiwoo: Thanks to our NSWERs, I think we were able to receive such a big award like this. In the future too, we will work really hard and show you many wonderful sides of ourselves. NSWERs, I love you!
