The live venue collective steering committee were delighted to attend the launch of a new
Night-Time Economy Support Scheme for Grassroots Music Venues launched by Minister Patrick O Donovan today in Clearys Bar, Newcastle West, Limerick.
This new funding scheme will be a stepping stone to
1. Acknowledge the importance of these rooms and music spaces throughout the country
2. secure a future in the short term for grassroots venues, sound technicians & emerging artists that learn and ply their trade in our rooms.
LVC would like to express gratitude to @cathmartingreen as she enters the final chapter in her current capacity as Minister @DeptCultureIRL Her engagement, vision and bravery to administer supports to sustain our grassroots venues when they were needed most will not be forgotten.
