@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15@NoelLonghorns Ch5 Q2: The students are why I stay. I want to be a positive aspect in their lives. I had a student from my first kinder class invite me to her senior breakfast a couple of years ago because I made an impact in her life and now she is going to school to be a teacher.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15@NoelLonghorns Ch 5 Q1: My rose is my class and my team. I feel that I have a great group of kids and I enjoy teaching them. My thorn is also feeling like I don't have enough time to get everything in.
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 4, Q. 3 - I tend to give suggestions and not be overly critical, like try this instead of doing this, etc. I don't like to put anyone down and I do not like it done to me. I try and put myself in their shoes and think of something positive to tell them. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 4, Q. 2 - I think that when we are available to help or even just be there to listen, we become closer as a team. I do think that people who feel valued and appreciated will do more than what is expected. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 4, Q. 1 - I try to think positive and tell myself that things are going to be okay. I also pray and thank God daily. Sometimes I will take a step back and stop what I'm doing and call a friend or family member if I'm able to make a call at the time. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 3, Q. 3 - Some ways to empower students are to let them lead in the classroom. Let them have a voice and show that you care and are listening. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 3, Q. 2 - Some of the things our staff has done this year to culturize the school are the team/grade competitions, Staff of the Month, Helping Hands, Longhorn of the Month, staff luncheon, Welcome Breakfast, and the 12 Days of Christmas calendar activities. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch. 3 Q. 1- Leadership to me means someone who is being a good role model that others look up to and want to be like. Leaders are there to guide and give constructive feedback.
I try to lead by example by being the best person that I can be and by simply being kind.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 writing get better. Also with reading, I think what hinders children sometimes is their access to books at their level and whether they are reading at home. I encourage my students to read any chance they get.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 Ch2 Q3: The factors that are contributing to this are the experiences children come to school with. If a child has limited experiences, it is hard for them to write about certain topics. I think giving them a chance to write about their personal experiences will help their...
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 Ch. 2 Q2 cont.: I relate to my students by using my own children as examples. When students want to tell a story or what they did at home, I listen and show that I care.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 Ch. 2 Q2: If I have a student who is reluctant or comes in and is in a bad mood, I talk to the student and listen to see what's going on. If they don't want to talk at the moment, I tell them that I'm available when they are ready to talk.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 Ch 2, Q1: I remind myself why I'm there and I'm there for my students. I sometimes tell my students that our classroom is like our family when we are at school because we spend so much time together. I would hope that it's the same for my own children at school. #noelculturize
@JennieChavez15 Ch 1 A2: Our students are the reason that we as teachers have a job. We are here to teach our students and make a difference in their lives. #noelculturize
