The exact common ancestor of both groups would be pretty much impossible to determine, but taxa like Sahelanthropus and orrorin are close to the split

Theres no objective measure of a species its just us labelling a specific group with similar characteristics. Populations are far more complex and are constantly changing in reality, especially over large time periods

All organisms have analogous mechanisms, so why wouldn’t they also have analogous internal feeling?

While a roombah isn’t programmed to need to protect young or even its self, a centipede is, similarly to us. So of course the centipede would have some kind of experience analogous to our own, a roombah obviously wouldn’t.
