@ClintSmithIII They're a highly stigmatized group of individuals.

They have their identity stripped and they're given a number. I can't imagine feeling like a person if someone called me "Inmate 999999" on a daily basis, forcing me to be strip-searched whenever I wanted to hug my family.

This person is boasting about denying medical care to inmates if they don't watch their language...wow. Can you imagine being kicked out of the ER if you said "shit" and they refuse to treat you? Apparently these "medical professionals" don't believe #InmatesArePeople

@Ryan_Pater5on @ladygaga Unless you've been in prison, actually inside a facility, you don't know what it's like - Orange is the New Black is not a reasonable approximation. I work with inmates, I've seen their cells, I've tasted the food they eat - you have not. Bye now.

@LibertePensador @nypost Read the article, they found *nothing* on the woman, in her car, or on the child. Yet they still made them go to a "no contact" visit. Poorly handled, I hope whomever authorized the strip search was fired.

@Cdub470 @nypost And yet in this case they found nothing on the woman, the child, or in her car. Yet a little girl got traumatized trying to visit her dad - and then they wouldn't let them have a contact visit anyway. Worst handling possible. Why not make her bend over and cough, too. #Wrong
