All it takes is one class action frpm people already in shelter. Or for a person to be injured.
New York's right-to-shelter policy faces scrutiny amid migrant crisis - ABC News via @ABC - https://t.co/aGc57EJ5uU
It is so unfair that administrators in NY are jumping through hoops to accommodate migrant arrivals, when there are people that have been languishing in shelter for YEARS. What is being done to place them ? The key is affordable housing.
The recent story in @politico was a fantastic flashlight on NYCs migrant crisis. Instead of standing at a podium, talking about a fly by night plan for more housing, why isn't the Mayor and Governor in court filing injunctions against the States sending people to NY?
Why is it that no one thinks preemptively about risk until it has manifests in sometimes deadly results? At risk areas of fires or floods, even places that have had devastating events with catastrophic loss of life? I would think people in authority would do risk accessments.
@fema Thank you, @FEMA, for your response. You are boots on the ground but to get even a small portion ahead of the crisis, your brightest minds have to be creative , think out of the box and spend some taxpayer money here.
Hey @FEMA and @HUD.gov, when are you going to address a smart idea of getting tiny homes for all the families that are displaced? Placing these families will help with their trauma and healing. Spend the money, here in the US!
