Long post--sorry.
The fixation around physical media is a red herring.
People who obtained physical copies of Crimson Desert early weren't able to play it because the PS5 locked them out of playing it. You can look this up, multiple articles about the topic. Clearly physical media didn't save you then, and it won't save you when a licensing agreement expires and a game will no longer run on your software until you download an update that might remove features/content.
A good example of this is ironically Mixtape. Because the game has a large amount of licensed music, it's plausible that one of those contracts will expire and a patch will be pushed that removes a song from the game. If you don't download that patch, you will no longer be able to access or play the game.
Physical media isn't the holy grail, consumer rights and protections is. Why aren't we using Apple lighting cables and we are using USB-C instead? It's not because of Apple, it's because of the EU.
While PC players have more work-arounds for this issue, console players are at the mercy of updates they have no choice but to accept. Physical media won't save you from that.
The convenience of digital downloads should not be viewed as a forfeiture of consumer protections.
The reason why record labels still sell vinyls is because people still buy vinyls. While there are I'm sure some people who still purchase video games physically, I would guess that number is decreasing every year. If physical copies were popular, Gamestop would still have video games in it instead of Funko pops and tshirts.
I know this is the unpopular take to have. but you can't expect companies to keep making physical editions of games if not enough people are buying them.
My point with all of this is that a lot of peoples' concern and frustration comes from the lack of control they have over the media they "own". Physical media does not solve this problem when it's at the mercy of the software running the consoles/game launchers.
If you want to solve the problem, you should be supporting initiatives like Stop Killing Games @StopKilingGames.
You know what shook me when I was Muslim?
The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.
She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.
And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.
To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.
I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?
Then I realized I was the wife.
I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.
And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”
He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”
That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.
He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.
Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.
Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.
The cross was Him naming the price.
Praise the Lord.
God gave Moses 50 chapters of instructions for a tent.
Fifty.
More space in the Bible is devoted to the design of the Tabernacle than to the creation of the universe.
That's not an accident.
Every measurement, material, and color was pointing to something, and once you see it, you can't unsee it.
A thread. 🧵

And this folks, is my biggest problem with this fucking clown. The false report. @BlizzardCS thinks there is no such thing as a false report - ALL of them matter and are permanently applied to your account no matter what.
Fuck this guy.
The first time I watched The Passion of the Christ, I cried.
Not because I was watching a movie.
Not because of the acting.
Not because of the scenes.
I cried because for a moment, I stopped seeing it as a film and started seeing it as a reminder of what my Lord Jesus Christ went through for me.
Then later, when I began studying the Gospel of John, the reality hit me even harder.
The One who created the heavens and the earth allowed Himself to be mocked by the people He created.
The King of Kings allowed Himself to be treated like a criminal.
The Lord of Lords allowed sinful men to judge Him.
The One who gives life allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross so that we could receive eternal life.
When I think about Jesus, I am overwhelmed.
Jesus did not deserve betrayal, yet one of His own disciples betrayed Him for thirty pieces of silver.
Jesus did not deserve rejection, yet many of the very people He came to save shouted, "Crucify Him!"
Jesus did not deserve humiliation, yet soldiers stripped Him, mocked Him, spat on Him, and placed a crown of thorns on His head.
Jesus did not deserve pain, yet He was scourged until His body was torn and bruised.
The Bible says:
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." — Isaiah 53:5
Every stripe He received was for us.
Every wound He carried was for us.
Every drop of blood was shed for us.
Think about it.
The hands that touched the blind and gave them sight were nailed to a cross.
The feet that walked from village to village preaching hope and salvation were pierced.
The lips that spoke words of life were mocked.
The head that carried divine wisdom was pierced with thorns.
The body that had never committed a single sin was broken for sinners.
And perhaps the most painful thing was not even the physical suffering.
It was carrying the weight of our sin.
The holy and spotless Lamb of God carried the guilt of humanity upon Himself.
The Bible says:
"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." — 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus knew no sin.
He never lied.
He never cheated.
He never hated.
He never failed.
Yet He took the punishment that belonged to us.
When they spat on Him, He could have called angels.
When they mocked Him, He could have stopped them.
When they nailed Him to the cross, He could have come down.
But He stayed.
Not because the nails held Him there.
Love held Him there.
Love for you.
Love for me.
Love for a broken world.
The Bible says:
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." — John 15:13
Even while hanging on the cross in unbearable pain, Jesus looked at those who crucified Him and said:
"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." — Luke 23:34
What kind of love is this?
What kind of mercy is this?
What kind of King dies for His subjects?
What kind of Savior suffers for those who rejected Him?
Only Jesus.
Today, whenever I remember what Jesus went through, I realize that Christianity is not merely a religion.
It is the story of a God who loved humanity so much that He stepped into our world, carried our pain, took our punishment, shed His blood, and died in our place.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." — John 3:16
Jesus did not deserve the cross.
I did.
You did.
Yet He took our place.
May we never become so familiar with the story of the cross that we lose our wonder.
May we never hear about Calvary without gratitude.
The Ten Plagues: God wasn’t just judging Egypt—He was defeating their gods. 📖 Exodus 7–12
While Pharaoh held God’s people in slavery, the Lord sent ten powerful plagues that systematically dismantled Egypt’s entire pantheon of false gods.
• The Nile turned to blood: Humiliating gods like Hapi (the Nile) and Osiris.
• Frogs overrun the land: Against Heqet, the frog-headed goddess of fertility.
• Gnats, flies, livestock dying, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and finally the death of the firstborn—each one a direct blow showing that the God of Israel reigns supreme.
The one true God made it crystal clear: ‘Against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. I am the Lord.’ (Exodus 12:12)
No idol, no false god, no power on earth can stand against Him.
What’s one way this reminds you of God’s power in your life today? Drop it in the comments! 🙌
Cannibalism has been documented in over 1,500 species.
Anti-cannibalism laws are only found in one.
Do we now realize why using the appeal to nature fallacy is silly?
Sony faces a proposed class-action lawsuit over how digital purchases are presented on the PlayStation Store.
Plaintiffs argue that buttons like “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” give customers the impression they are purchasing and owning a game, when they are actually receiving a license to use it.
The case is based on a California law that took effect in 2025, requiring companies to clearly inform customers when they are buying a license instead of owning a digital product.
Sony’s checkout page includes a notice stating that purchases are licensed under its Software Product License Agreement, but the lawsuit claims the disclosure is too easy to overlook.
The complaint argues that labels such as “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” can lead consumers to believe they are obtaining permanent ownership.
‘Lilo & Stitch’ creators Chris Sanders & Dean DeBlois have shared a piece of artwork honoring the late Daveigh Chase.
Chase voiced Lilo in the ‘Lilo & Stitch’ film.
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I come before You and put on the full armor of God so that I may stand firm against the schemes of the devil and every spiritual force of evil.
I buckle the **belt of truth** around my waist, anchoring my life in Your unchanging Word and integrity. I put on the **breastplate of righteousness**, protecting my heart through the perfect righteousness of Jesus. I fit my feet with the **shoes of the gospel of peace**, standing ready to walk in Your peace and share the good news. I take up the **shield of faith** to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I place the **helmet of salvation** on my head, guarding my mind with the sure hope of eternal life in Christ. And I take the **sword of the Spirit**, which is Your Word, as my offensive weapon.
Lord, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, keep me alert, strengthen me in Your mighty power, and help me live worthy of the name of Jesus. May Your armor protect and empower me today and every day. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.🛡 🗡🪖🥋🥾
Daveigh Chase has sadly passed away at the age of 35.
She was the voice of Lilo in ‘Lilo & Stitch’ & Chihiro in the English dub of ‘Spirited Away’.
