@RestIsPolitics For forty years, UK politics have more or less echoed those in the US. Thatcher was our Reagan; Blair our Clinton & Obama; Cameron; and now Stammer is mirroring Biden. Will Trump’s second term inevitably lead to a Farage victory at the next election?
@RestIsPolitics In the spirit of 1932’s Kinder Mass Trespass, swimmers this week have been taking to reservoir’s to protest against water companies prohibiting the public access. Yes, reservoirs aren't without danger, but most of Europe, seems to manage pretty well. Your views?
@RideLeicester I've reported numerous infringements outside @HMPLeicester on the Love Leicester App. We all want the same thing at the end of the day - a city we can be proud of, and communities that care. I'm hope @HMPLeicester will do the right thing soon and take steps to remedy the issue
to be clear, double yellow line parking restrictions apply on BOTH sides - parking on the public footpath and / or the cycle lane constitutes a clear infringement
@HMPLeicester@RideLeicester@leicspolice vehicles serving the prison continue to block the cycle lanes AND footpath directly outside. Wheelchair users cannot get through. Sooner or later, this is going to cause a serious accident or worse. This is an almost daily occurrence.
@Jaguar Not convinced initially, but if provoking the bigots is an undocumented feature, I'm all for it. Does remind me of New Order's True Faith vid mind you!https://t.co/hRJDptdXNg
@RestIsPolitics - guessing you’ve caught your write-up in/on iNews? So, for all our centrist sensibilities, as we, your loyal RIP followers, just as guilty of desperately seeking out an echo chamber as Farage’s horde? https://t.co/AorOTXR6W8
@virginmedia’s novelty approach to preventing me switching providers - their connection is so unstable and slow, I can’t check out options on @EE or Sky!
@RestIsPolitics what do you think to @SuellaBraverman's recent game of word-association: labelling Tory 'centrists' as 'cranks'? Is she completely oblivious to how absurd this comes across, do you think?
@LizKershawDJ@glastonbury I seem to remember PLO Shemagh scarves were a pretty popular symbol of support back then? Protesting against Israel/US invasion of Lebanon. Glastonbury has always been political - supporting CND since 1981 for example.
@RestIsPolitics Like chosing between McDonald’s and Burger King - different boxes, same un-nourishing crap inside.
The old fella summed them up perfectly - a poor prime minister and a toothless wannabe.
@JamesCleverly But you haven’t cut anything. During Conservative tenure, taxes, NHS waiting times and legal migration numbers have increased dramatically. It honestly doesn’t matter to people that you’re reducing them from an all-time-high, all of these measures remain unacceptable.
@BBCPolitics The glaring omission last night was any questions about the impact of Brexit. If the PM wants to be 'straight with the British public' as he repeatedly claims, he should have been grilled over how much Brexit has cost the country to date, and will continue to cost in future
