@wraggi74 @HGWellsHouse @thinkdefence Yes indeed, a lot gets said about what the defence industry sells, but people are always quick to forget how many projects get started by the MOD and then stopped. This all takes effort, time and money, a lot of which industry doesn’t receive all of its investments back…

@thinkdefence Focus on contracts accumen, not trying to mark industry with engineers, logistics etc. Buy the best off the shelf, we can no longer afford Saville row solutions.

@brad90688 @thinkdefence And the alternative is? - only UK design, manufacture and test facility for rotorcraft in the UK, therefore the only people to bother to invest in UK. PS - Leonardo (not been Westland -singular not plural, for a very long time)

@wraggi74 @HGWellsHouse @thinkdefence Tandem Lynx was on the table in the 70s and 80s. Leonardo/Westland gets a lot of flack, but the designs and capabilities have always been in Yeovil, it is just the orders weren’t there…..
