Say hello to our new Eco Committee. They have been working very hard behind the scenes completing an environmental review of the school. @EcoSchoolsWales
Over the last two weeks these pupils have taken part in a total of 167 ‘No Power Hours’ at home. Together they have reduced our carbon footprint by approximately 334kg 🌟 what a fantastic team effort from our school 🌟 @ecoschoolsaimee @EcoSchoolsWales
The ‘No Power Hour’ at home starts now and we need your help! We discussed our plans with the school during an assembly last week and a parent mail will follow. Please see your Eco representative or Mrs Hockin if you would like to take part 😊
Our Curriculum Champions have been busy working with our @LlysfaenEW this afternoon, looking at healthier break time alternatives. What could our children eat instead of Fruit Winders or chocolate cereal bars? #HW#HCI
A very busy and productive meeting for the Eco Committee today. We have reflected on the success from last week and have started planning what we need to do next. Stay tuned as the ‘No Power Hour’ will be coming to your house soon.
Our Eco Committee were invited to the ‘One Planet Cardiff’ conference to deliver a presentation, sharing the fantastic work we have done as a school to reduce our energy consumption. Everyone was so impressed! We even had our platinum flag renewed on the spot! @KeepWalesTidy
We have teamed up with @LlysfaenEW this morning as we are interested in finding out what our children eat and drink for snack and lunch time. From here we are going to ask our children to complete an online questionnaire to help us gather our findings. #HW#HCI#HealthyEating
