1 month ago, TMZ offered to "Tickle the Wire" for the FBI by paying money into the Bitcoin account of the kidnappers so TMZ could do a documentary on the Trace results after the deposit.

The FBI cut off all communication with @TMZ after the offer.

What is going on here?

Did that notion upset the family?

This is a no brainer...

Up until this offer, @TMZLive says they were in "constant contact" with the FBI.

Now you have a volunteer for the funds to "Tickle the Wire".

Karmelo Anthony- Parent and Grandparent reaction

Parents Drew Anthony & Kayla Hayes do not believe Karmelo received a fair trial.

If they quietly worked on Karmelo's appellate case behind the scenes they would not sow the discord necessary to raise more money.

But what I found interesting was that they are blaming their white attorney and their decision to "not be rebellious" and hire a black attorney from the outset. How is it rebellious to hire a black attorney? There are so many amazing black lawyers & they they had $600K in donations to hire one.

Also why didn't they hire a Use of Force Expert & a Crime Scene Reconstructionist to aid in Karmelo's defense.

Did they believe the money was better spent to rent a mansion? If they felt they needed a gated community for safety, there are plenty that are for more affordable. Why did the dad stop working?

I hear the grandmother's concerning statements. Can a person raised by parents/grandparent's with these sentiments ever break the cycle? If Austin weren't black would Karmelo have stabbed him? I am seeing something so ugly here.

Why did they uproot their family from Louisiana and start over?

One of my dearest friends, tennis partners, so close I was in the hospital with her for her baby's birth & named her daughter Baylee, would not let me go to a girl's night out with her recently. I asked why? She said it was a Jack and Jill get together. I had never heard of Jack and Jill. What's that I asked. She said white people aren't allowed; only blacks. I love her, but will never understand this. How can we ever stop the racial divide when we cultivate racial divide?

Karmelo was convicted of murdering Austin at a Texas track meet. He received 35 years in prison. He is eligible for parole in 17.5 years.

Margaret was a mother of 3, grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 4.

According to CCTV footage reviewed by police, John Elijah Matthews, a homeless Black man, walked up to the Margaret and slit her throat within seconds.

Margaret screamed and tried to escape, but the suspect held her down and st*bbed her another 18 times before leaving her dead on the ground in a large pool of her own blood.

Fellow passengers on the train did nothing to try and help her as she screamed.

Absolutely horrifying.
